RMA Policy
Revision 8.08 (05/01/2002)
WARRANTY ON PARTS
All return items need to be under warranty. Warranty period (from invoice date) for the following items is:
- Memory Modules One Years
- Intel & AMD CPU Three Months
- All other Add-on Card One Year
- Physically Damaged or Altered Product No Warranty
All 2nd RMA items have no extension of warranty from the original invoice date. Item close to expiration of warranty period must be received on/before warranty expiration date.
STEPS TO CLAIM WARRANTY
- Completely fill out i-BIS current RMA Request Form.
- Fax to (510) 249-1370 the RMA Request Form with all copies of invoices and serial number lists (second RMAs must include previous RMA paper work as well). Please fax only once during the first 24 hours.
- i-BIS will authorize the return by issuing an RMA# within 24 hours (unless requesting over 10 items or document incomplete/incorrect) and authorize, under normal condition RMA number is only valid for 7 workings days once it is issued.
- If products that are shipped or arrive after the RMA number has expired, the RMA# will be VOIDED, and the customer will then be asked to request a new RMA number before processing can continue.
- For incorrect shipping or shipping damage, Customer needs to claim them within 24 hours of receipt.
- Customers with incompatibility problems need to claim them within 7 days of receipt.
- Customer who request RMA through e-mail, please download the RMA Form from our wedbsite, completely fill out all the necessary information and email the form to rma@i-biscomputer.com.

CREDIT POLICY
- Full Credit shall be issued only in situations where i-BIS is at fault (i.e. incorrect shipping).
- Credit will not be issued for customers purchasing new parts as replacements for the defective parts.
- All other Credit is subject to a restocking fee or service charge, which is no more than 15% of current market value of the return item.
- Any credit applied to customer account can not be used in advance until the i-BIS Accounting Department posts credit memo

REPLACEMENT POLICY
Defective & DOA (Dead On Arrival) Items:
- i-BIS's RMA test procedures will verify if the returned product is defective and under warranty.
- All defective products will be repaired. Replacement will be made only when the parts are not repairable. For all other items, i-BIS will replace to the customer what repaired or replacement item(s) we receive from our vendor.
- i-BIS's DOA Policy does not apply to CPU's.
- DOA Products must be claimed within 3 working days
- DOA Products must be returned to i-BIS within 3 business days (7 days for international) from the date the RMA number is issued. Replacement will be given within 7-10 business days (depending on product availability) after receiving the defective product.
- All defective products (including DOA) will be returned to customer without replacement or credit if tested good by i-BIS's testing division.
- If a replacement is not available, an equivalent/better product will be substituted; otherwise, a credit will be given according to current market value, which will not be excess of the paid price of the product.
Product with Incompatibility Problems or Incorrect Parts Shipped :
- i-BIS reserves the rights to either give exchange or credit to the customer.
- Replacement will be given within 5 working days (depending on product availability) after receiving the returning product.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTION
- Do not return cables and accessories with returned product, unless specially requested by i-BIS RMA Department or applying for credit.
- All products must be properly packaged or else i-BIS reserves the right to reject them.
- Customer must pay all freight goods. COD or "Call Tag" will not be accepted.
- Customer's labels, adhesives and markings on product must be completely removed (especially in case of credit, all returned products must look "like new") before returning to i-BIS.
- RMA#'s are requested to be visible on the outside of package to avoid the package being refused or returned back to the sender. If more than one RMA is included in one shipment, all RMA#'s are requested to be written on the shipping slip or the outside of the box.
i-BIS reserves the right to reject any return items without a valid RMA Number. The RMA number will void within 14 days once it is issued. It must be clearly marked on the outside of the package. The products should be returned without accessories to RMA department. Damage or loss of goods during shipping is the sole responsibility of the customer. Insufficient packaging may result in loss of warranty. RMA number is valid for 14 days. Products returned for credit are subject to a 15% restocking fee. No credits will be issued after 30 days of purchase.
